Those children who are actually suffering from petit mal seizure often get blamed for lack of attention or concentration, not listening to the teacher and as a result being call bad students or children with bad behavior which can also set them into a very negative spiral of actually becoming a bad student.
Many teachers are not aware of petit mal seizures and are not able to recognise when the child is having a petit mal or absence seizure.
