My first symptoms of ALS occurred in 2011, but were diagnosed in 2013. I had severe symptoms ranging from shortness of breath, balance problems, couldn’t walk without a walker or a power chair, i had difficulty swallowing and fatigue. I was given medications which helped but only for a short burst of time, then I decided to try alternative measures and began on ALS Formula treatment from Dr Okosun herbal center, It has made a tremendous difference for me.
I had improved walking balance, increased appetite, muscle strength, improved eyesight and others.

My 40 year old son has needed removed from our home by our adult daughter.now there is a court case pending. His last gran mal was in 1996. My daughter and Ben’s doctor cut his carbatrol dose in half. My son is a developmentally disabled adult who is unhappy with his current living arrangements.

In reply to Anonymous. Comment That's not right. Did you have seizures at work? Did you just need time off for recovery? I was lucky. Same employer 30 years but nothing worse than auras at work. Sick time off for adjustments after seizures. Didn't the bargaining unit support you?

In reply to James. James I feel angry for you re your employer situation. I was fortunate to get employment with a steady employer and didn't have anything past auras in the workplace. I understand your anger at the drug issue as well. I was up to 8 meds per. and over the counter at one point. I'm down to one at minimum dose. I hope you find that doctor that will make the difference.

I had my first grand mal at sixteen. Undiagnosed until 25. I’m 66. There’s been another 30 grand mals and hundreds of auras. Prevent 95% of seizures with bio feedback. That could be higher except for denying the seizure and trying to carry on despite the warnings. I’ve been to continental Europe 10 times, the UK and Ireland 12 times, the Caribbean 10 times, the States 6 times, New Zealand 3 times and Australia once and SE Asia once. My last trip I went on a dozen mountain hikes alone in Scotland in the off season. The longest was 44 km., over 6,000 feet of elevation over 4 Munros, 13 hours. There was a sleet storm on the last top with zero visibility and a cold rain the last 10 km. I’ve driven over 100,000 km on those trips. The trips totaled near 3 years. Stay in shape, get good doctors and work with them. I’m still healthier than the average man my age, play sports, go to the gym. I plan on another 20 good years. Tell the epilepsy to go to hell and make the most of your life. Touch wood, I get my cancer update next week. Wish me luck. Comment

CommentWhere is the cited source for ”it has been proven”? In fact where is the cited source for any of your determinations on these meds being the most dangerous? I am led to understand fipronil is a worming med safe for even tiny baby animals? I know some flea meds have other things but you didnt state that either. In fact I didnt get much help at all from your page. My vet is none too bright unfortunately. It is not my vet by choice either but the choices here are limited & the others have patient horror stories. SO I am on my own for seeking info–last time I asked her for help she gave me website–that sold stuff. SO. Im trying to find info–not heresay and opinion–but factual or experiential evidence. ty

Good morning.
I’m pretty sure I’m having Absent seizures.
A couple of years ago, I was having them daily.
Now it’s like once or twice a month.
For the most part when I have one. I’m laying down.
I feel it coming on and I go into a quiet state for about 30 seconds. I also smell a metallic odor.
It less intense now than it was before.

I have had many Gran Mal Seizures I would describe some as near-death experiences. I’m lucky to be alive writing this.

I take Keepprin, Dilantin, zonisamide (sp?) at the exact time as directed, trial and error, but working better now.

CI used Senestra last August and it started seizures in two of my dogs. Grand mal seizures. Also, above it says don’t use flea treatment that has Ivermectin in it. But, Ivermectin is the number one Heartguard medicine, poison, in Heartguard Plus. And there is not anything else, to my knowledge, that kills Heartworms. Which, it could be argued, are much more terminal for animals than seizures.
